Upgrading MoveData

Occasionally you may need to upgrade your version of MoveData and its extensions to gain access to new features or functionality.

Upgrade the MoveData App

You can upgrade the MoveData app via https://api.movedata.io/installer/app and following the prompts.

Transcription

  • To upgrade the MoveData App, your Salesfore environment must have the latest MoveData Extension versions installed
  • Open the MoveData upgrade link
  • Install for All Users or Admins Only. If you are unsure, select All Users
  • Click Upgrade
  • To confirm the MoveData App has been upgraded, open Setup
  • Open Installed Packages
  • Observe the MoveData App has been upgraded to the latest version. Note: Installed Packages may take a couple of minutes to update

Upgrading MoveData Extensions

  • Open Settings
  • Click Extension
  • Find the extension you wish to upgrade and click Update
  • Install for All Users or Admins Only. If you are unsure, select All Users
  • Accept terms and click Upgrade
  • Your Extension has been upgraded to the latest version

Complex Upgrades

Upgrades can be more complex if you are using a version of MoveData which pre-dates:

If you cannot perform the upgrade yourself, MoveData will perform this free of charge if the upgrade takes less than two hours to complete. If the upgrade takes more than two hours to complete, then a fee of up to 8h, charged at your local rate, will be payable.

It is not possible to forecast effort in advance of completing the upgrade. Therefore, by authorising MoveData to perform the upgrade, you are also authorising MoveData to charge a fee of up to 8h effort for the associated effort in upgrading. The team member performing your upgrade will explicitly confirm this with you prior to completing your upgrade.
